I have been having yet another issue with this piece of crap. The darn thing keeps freezing and crashing!! I haven't had this thing for 3 months!! I've only installed a couple games and downloaded some music from iTunes onto the thing. Once it crashes, the whole thing is inoperable, forcing me to do a hard restart(holding the power button) What could possibly be happening. I dropped $1 K on a new pc, and this is what I get. I have been trying to install windows 10 Preview all day, but the damn thing keeps crashing while its downloading. I am seriously considering returning it and getting a Mac. I've about had it at this point.

It is a Lenovo edge 15,btw. Only a couple months old.

I would post the specs, but I am typing this from my iPhone.

Any help is appreciated, I would like to at least give it another chance before I return it.

And no, I can't open task manager when it freezes. There are also no blue screens or error messages of any kind.

How did it work when you first got it. If problems, contact Lenovo and make them fix it or give you a new computer.

You should not have to go through this with a new computer, ever!

Restore to factory state then perhaps? Install updates then start reinstalling your programs one at a time and testing. COuld very well be one or more of the games is the problem.

If you do this, make sure you backup everything first.

What, if any, error messages do you get when the thing crashes? Could be something as simple as a loose memory stick. Where did you get the games you installed? Downloading games from the internet is a prime vehicle for malware.

You seem to be blaming your pc problems on the pc and maker when the reality of it is that when you got it new it "worked fine". Right off the bat this tells me it is something you did or installed that is causing crashes. So, since you won't go into much detail about your system specs or what may be causing the problem other than blaming the manufacturer my advice is to restore it to factory specs and this time carefully consider what you may be installing this time :sarc:

I have a Lenovo myself and have never had a lick of trouble with it, and when I did it was my fault.
