ALT+F4 Won't Close Programs anymore!

I have a Lenovo Yoga Pro 2... worst computer ever. Running Windows 8.1.

Anyway, recently, my ALT+F4 no longer works anywhere. It won't close windows.

On the other hand, CTRL+F4 still works (i.e., with closing individual Chrome tabs), and ALT+Tab works, which indicates to me that there is nothing wrong with the ALT or F4 keys individually.

Also, FN lock isn't on or anything either.

Thanks for any advice!

Hi I have the same laptop. have you installed any 3rd party drivers like the yoga patch (by Indest)? It significantly makes up for the bad drivers lenovo was dishing out for certain aspects of the pc. Reason I ask is it has a option to disable the close button (the X on the top left side of the keyboard) Which is just a trigger for ALT+F4.

I in fact do have indest's yogapatch installed. I uninstalled and reinstalled it and it didn't make a difference. Good thought though.

Yeah his site ran out of funding but his patch is going to be put on a new place since it's open source and he will continue to update it. The newest version is this one if you want. It has a dynamic battery meter that is better than windows. Install the patch then right click it and in settings re-enable your close button.
