After using Windows 8 awhile, I still find myself going to either my start screen, all apps, or control panel, to access this stuff, instead of just right clicking the Windows icon. I then remember there's a faster way after I'm already there. I mean Microsoft had enough foresight(which I find great for power-users & beginners alike) to add this in 8 and 10 and I keep forgetting it. Anyone else?

The opposite for me. I downloaded a XP VM from MS to try to install some old blackberry software yesterday.

Kept hitting the :winkey: + X and it didn't work. Again and again. My fingers wouldn't believe it wasn't there it seems.

Yep. Gets on my nerves. My Lenovo laptop has French keyboard and my MacBook has UK keyboard. I seem to perpetually type like someone new to the concept of a keyboard.

I have to use a german keyboard and after 25 years here, my problem is the germans don't use the apostrophe like the americans, so I have to remember "shift #" or else I'm becomes I#m.

I still catch myself sometimes closing one window before switching to another, just like I had 1GB or less of RAM.

I lol at myself sometimes. After years and years of using XP and 7, and only a relatively short time on Windows 8. Now when I go back to one of those older operating systems I have a "how did I do this before' moment.

I think those 'How did I do this before' moments sum up a lot of my life. And it sounds so much better than 'senior moment'. :D

For me, I'm now forgetting where stuff was in the Windows 7/XP Start menu. I instinctively do it like I do it in Windows 8. Stuff I could almost do with my eyes closed on Windows 7, I now have to think about for a second or two. For me its a "how did I do this the old way".

That's one of the nice things with Start menu:orb:/screen:winkey: just type the first few letters and "sometimes" it gets you what you need.

Sorry folks, I still do it the old way, using Quick Launch tool bar for all my everyday and sometimes used program. The rest I'll just get as I always have from the program in my start menu. I still don't get how its better to make more motions to open something. When they are a single click away.
