Windows 8.1 - How to set device default

I have an NAS (WD Mycloude ex2). On my windows 8.1 computers - desktop and laptop, when I click on My PC, then on Network an icon appears for the network drive. But when I click on it instead of seeing the folders that are on it, I see the "dashboard" (WD's control panel) for the device. I finally thought to right click on the device and it is set to "View Device Webpage" instead of to "Open". When I click on Open I get what I want. How to I change the default so it will always open instead of going to the device webpage?

That would be correct, until you map a share from the NAS.

I would try to INCLUDE (right click) the folders into the libraries or create a special library for them.

Hi Each time I turn off and on my extarnal LCD with (crappy) built-in speakers, they're detected as new attached hardware and auto set themselves as default instead of my preferred speakers. Can this be somehow disabled (possibly without disabling the LCD driver from system), it's irritating.
Hi, First, I would like to start off by saying that this is not a Windows 8 exclusive problem, I've had it in Windows 7 and upon install to Windows 8, it still occurs, which is leading me to the conclusion that this is a hardware problem. Ever since I built my machine in early 2014, it seems...
