Hi,

I have soms files in system folders that I want to remove. No need to warn me about this, I know what I'm doing.
To do this I have to see the system files and folders, but I can't make them visible.
I've been trying for months now, searching internet (including this forum) but can't a solution. All I find is how to show the hidden files and folders using the "show hidden folders"-checkbox. This however doens't show the systemfiles.

I'm positive there should be a way; can anyone help me?

The feature you need to uncheck is "hide protected operating system files". This is a different feature than the "Show hidden files, folders, and drives".

One sure-fire method I use is to download a Linux LiveCD or LiveDVD .iso file and create the bootable disc, I like Linux Mint 17/17.1. Boot to that disc then you can manage files on the HDD/SSD, should be able to see all the files.

If you make all the system files visible, don't be surprised to find some "extra" icons on the desktop.

Hi All,
sorry it some time for me to respond; it's been quite bussy at work...
I guess I overlooked this option; seem rather obvious now.
Thanks,
