Can not display desktop PDF files

I did it again; a new problem! Up to yesterday I was able to display desktop PDF files. Adobe Reader is not installed as far as I can tell. When I tried to download Adobe Reader "Adobe Rader Install" came up, but nothing happened. The panel remained blank. I downloaded Adobe Reader Installer 9.3. I tried downloading Adobe Reader XI with the same result. I know very little about Adobe other than it has always worked in the past. I need and will be gratedul for any support I can get

Your quickest solution is to try another free PDF reader:
    Best Free Non-Adobe PDF Reader

My guess is that your Adobe installation went awry and is preventing a re-install. If you still want to use Adobe, download Revo Uninstaller and use it to uninstall any remnants of Adobe. Then try reinstalling Adobe.

Download Revo Uninstaller Freeware - Free and Full Download - Uninstall software, remove programs, solve uninstall problems
