    Error when editing attributes in registry, permissions?

    Following this guide;
    https://www.eightforums.com/tutorials/28027-onedrive-remove-navigation-pane-windows-8-1-a.html
    regarding steps 4/7
    I am unable to edit attributes key and having trouble setting permissions, if that is the issue.

    See if this below may help.

    Use step 4 in OPTION FOUR below to change the owner of the ShellFolder registry key to be the Administrators group,

    Take Ownership of a File, Folder, Drive, or Registry Key in Windows 8

    Afterwards, use step 3 in OPTION TWO below to "Allow" Administrators "Full control"

    Permissions - Allow or Deny Access to Users and Groups in Windows 8

    If your user account is an administrator, and is currently the owner, see if you are able to add your same user account to the screenshot on the far left, and set it to "allow" "full control".

    See step 8 in Option Two below.

    Permissions - Allow or Deny Access to Users and Groups in Windows 8

    I think that's what I did after taking the screenshot and no luck.
    You can teamview my computer and figure it out, if you want.
