Disable windows store at startup

Hello,
I'm running win 8.1
I don't use any metro apps, don't intend to use any, and have them all uninstalled. Also don't have any live tiles.
At startup I see "store" loading. In details it's WWAHost.exe
It loads about 50 MB at first and uses a significant amount of HDD resources.
I want to disable it.
Can I? Is it wise to do so? How?
Thanks!

I actually have a correction to make. I actually do have some apps installed, I'm not sure if they are considered metro apps. They are: Alarms, Camera, Maps, Reader, Scan, Sound recorder, Video. None of them start at startup so I don't see why they should be the cause of this, just thought I'd plug that information in.

The Store app runs in the background since it is what is used to sync the licenses for the modern apps, even if you are not signed in with a Microsoft account. :(

Those are modern apps. You're able to use them with a local account since they do not require a Microsoft service that requires you to be signed in to the Store or Windows with a Microsoft account.

Stopping the store actually can break Windows update.

I don't want to disable the store permanently, I just want it to stop loading at startup.
I found out that those 50MB that it loads are actually loaded from the network. Which is really stupid. What if I have a slow connection or am on limited bandwidth.
So I came up with another solution. What if I just add the store URL to the blocked sites in internet options.
Unfortunately I don't know what the URL is. Can somebody tell me what it is so I can give that a try and see what happens?

I think you're sweating over the small stuff. But ...

I also don't deal with the Apps and Store (except for the upgrade to 8.1). After the upgrade, I blocked, via Norton's firewall, WWAHost.exe's access. My Windows Update continues to function on Patch Tuesday. Task Manager/App history tab shows one second of CPU activity for Store and zero for the few other items, like Camera. Both Windows Update and Windows Store Service are set to Manual (Trigger Start).

It has been a long time since I played with the Windows Firewall -- before Norton. Maybe a rule can be created for WWAHost there.

I've got Nod32. Under "applications excluded from protocol filtering" I can see WWAHost but there's no check box on it so it shouldn't be excluded and I don't know how to further restrict its access.
I also have Ashampoo Win optimizer, but I cant find WWAHost in the list of startups. I do have Windows Store Service (WSService) but it says it hasn't started so I'm guessing it's not the same one. Anyway, if it is that one it's on "manual" startup.

I found Store in windows firewall and blocked it. In app history it shows just 1.3 MB of network usage but it still loaded those 50 MB in the RAM and made a spike in CPU and HDD usage... Windows update is still working tho.
So that plan ended in failure...
Any other ideas?

Windows update is still working tho.

Windows Modules Installer should be set to manual.
