external hard disk(verbatim 320GB model # 53014)

Hello.
I am unable to open my verbatim external disk on my new laptop windows 8.
in addition I encode with bitlocker.when I click on, I have not the small rectangle where i put the password, it says (F: \ Application not found)

Plug in the drive and search Bitlocker in the start menu. Select it and see if the drive shows up there, if so unlock it and be on your way.

am using another laptop ,never use my external drive on it before,

I see from your screenshot you have a start button (the windows logo orb on the bottom left). Click on it, type in BitLocker, and select Bitlocker Drive Encryption. Now search the columns for your drive.
Be sure to have it plugged in.

Thank you but nothing happened when i click on Bitlocker Drive Encryption . i tried to open it with another laptop and pc using windows xp,vista but nothing happend. any solutution please? thank you.

no i click on start menu ,ive got the bar,i click on bitlocker drive encryption but nothing happened.
when i plug in my etexrnal drive ,its lighting and working .but always the same message,(F: \ Application not found)
