Eliminate the hiberfile. Then it cannot hibernate. The command for that is: powercfg -h off

Are you sure it is hibernating? When a notebook goes into hibernation, it saves where you are at that moment. Then when you press the start button, it resumes right where it left off. It should not be "resuming start" unless you were at the Start screen when it went into hibernation. In other words, if you were in the middle of the game when it went into hibernation, it should be in the middle of the game when it wakes.

Solved Hibernate or Shutdown? in Performance & Maintenance
I am under the impression that both method uses same amount of power in terms of power saving feature. Hibernating makes it quicker to load windows instead of full boot up from shutdown but hibernating the system can also cause errors. Thus, the slow down and reboot. What would you recommend?
