screen resolution changing in lock screen

I`m having problems where when i boot up my pc, there are some weird scaling happening and after logging in, all of my desktop icon are in a different place. how do i fix it?

Check in control panel under Display that you are using the recommended screen resolution. Then check under Color Management that you are using "Display 1: Generic PnP Monitor-XXXXXXXX (XXXXXX=whatever your graphics card is) Under the Advanced tabs all color settings are set to default: Capture.PNG
