    Taskbar Notification Area

This is something that has been bugging me for a while now...

When I get a notification of new email (or other taskbar notification), it takes precedence over what I'm doing. So, if I'm typing something, I'm suddenly bumped out of the program when a new notification comes in (making the notification the active window).

How can I keep this from happening? I want to be notified when I get new mail or Adobe CC has an updates, etc., but don't wish it to take over from what I'm working on.

Hello Anita, and welcome to Eight Forums.

You might check to see if it may be "Snap To" causing you to lose focus on your active window by turning it off.
