Calendar Blank

I got Windows 8 today and everything seems to be working fine except for two things.
1. My sound suddenly stopped working.
2. All the apps are fine except for calendar, which just shows a blank screen.

So what do I do to fix these things?

First, get used to creating links to often used programs.
Find the Control Panel.
View devices.
See if audio is enabled.
Check your speaker system.
For Calendar, one thing to do is confirm time and date settings and time zone.

You could check the calendar from the desktop taskbar.

Thanks, the calendar randomly started working two seconds after I posted this thread and I messed around with Sound in the Control Panel and I fixed it all.
