4 GB RAM & Windows 10

How is Windows 10 going to run on a PC with 4 GB RAM?

Hard to say, as machine performance is more than just the amount of RAM in the machine. Given Windows 10 will be a free upgrade to Windows 7 and Windows 8.1 users, and there are at least a decent number of x86 installs of those out there, it's possible that there will be x86 editions of Windows 10. That would mean it would be designed to run at least the 32bit platform within the 4GB RAM limitations. There's a 32bit preview edition along with the 64bit version, and while obviously I can't say for certain that will survive to RTM, it's likely that it will.

Both of my PC's are 64-bit processors with 4 GB memory (RAM).

I am afraid too. Should I install it or not? I've tried it in a virtual machine. Don't want to make a dual boot thing. Wondering if I should just install it on my system. As long as it doesn't crash my system, I don't mind doing it. I am computer smart, but not as computer smart as some of you are on here that helps people.

It's FREE.. And until it is a consumer release, for me anyway, it will stay in a VM
