    You may if you have to change the boot order to boot from your install media? I think technically, even the quick boot menu is accessing the BIOS. Is Fn+F2 the quick boot menu or the factory recovery?

    i already tried startup repair. it only lessens the time of the blackscreeb. for example last it was 5-7 mins it reduces to 3 mins . help please. please reply why does this happen to my desktop. ill be at school now. be back after 12 hrs. thankyou all in advance !

    i know whats the problem, i installed win 8 64 bit drivers instead of win 8.1 64 bit drivers , common sense mistake . please read my other thread thank you! HELP wrong installation of drivers

    Windows 8 drivers are Windows 8 drivers. Does not matter if a Service Pack is installed.

    8.1 is not a service pack, its an upgrade to a new OS. The kernel version number changed.
