I confess that I've not come across this problem before. If another member wants to jump in to help, by all means.

I can lead you down a few paths that might work out. This problem may indicate loose cabling, especially from the power supply unit or from the hard (or solid state) drive. If you can, check if the cabling is fine internally, securing it. If it is secure or if it is a laptop, move on.

Try to open a cmd prompt to use check disk at boot. Here is how:
To boot to CMD prompt, find number 3 in the tutorial: http://www.eightforums.com/tutorials/9702-command-prompt-open-windows-8-a.html
Then, use this command: chkdsk C: /r (according to this tutorial: http://www.eightforums.com/tutorials/6221-chkdsk-check-drive-errors-windows-8-a.html)

The error code you are getting is that the hard disk has or is buying the farm and needs to be changed. To retrieve your data you could always put it in an external caddy making it an external hard drive.

That is quite the possibility. Not always the case though. We may find out soon enough!
