There's nearly 500 registry keys that it leaves behind.

A lot of them are only pointers. First and foremost one needs to delete the key folders for the under software in local machine and then double check users/current user, the userprofile keys should automatically be deleted.. read this. then searching with Find looks for things like icons and startup files and of course start up files. of course a reboot is necessary after mucking around in regedit.

Interesting, so Local_Machine is global and Current_User is local.

Yeah, that seems typical of programming. They use prefixes that look like they mean the opposite of what is meant. In this case I guess Local Machine is just another way of saying what in windows 8.x.x is called This PC in file explorer, which is global for that one computer.

LOL yes! When I looked at what I wrote, I thought 'That doesn't quite read logically'.

Download Revo Uninstaller from Softpedia and install it.

You then need to download Speedbit again; this Softpedia link will give you the least aggravation from 'extras', which some other download sites give you.

Install Speedbit. Leave the first screen as it is and click Next. Uncheck items as shown here, then click Next:

Accept the terms on the next screen:

After installing, it will take you to its web page; discard it. If your PC or browsers ask if you want to enable anything just say No.

Open Revo and let the program list populate. Select Speedbit and click Uninstall (top row). follow the prompts and wait until it says Speedbit has been uninstalled (that's the program's uninstaller notice). Click Next and Revo will search the Registry for leftover entries. Click Select All then Delete. Confirm, then click Finish. Exit Revo. Reboot.

You can leave Revo at it's default search depth setting for this exercise.
    It worked
