Solved How to get a Black Cursor in Windows 8.1?

Objective: to switch out the original white cursor for a black cursor

I already tried a pack of black cursors from DeviantArt I believe.. it works great but when I start using the touchscreen on my laptop, the mouse cursor will start disappearing a whole lot when using the mouse pad and is ultimately unworkable. But, resetting to the original cursor , it starts working again... Anyone know of a better option or something to get the black cursor on Windows 8.1 (that will also work with touchscreen)?

You can select a black pointer scheme from Mouse Properties:

Thanks, but something I didn't mention was I don't really care for the Windows 8 cursor VS the Windows 7 one
Do you know of anything third party?

It's of course up to you. Windows native pointer schemes work well and do not cause problems as so often happens with third party alternatives, as you you have experienced. If you want a black pointer that works, the solution is what I told you.
