If you don't want to enter the password at boot just right click windows icon>choose Run and enter/cut&paste
    Code:
    control userpasswords2
and untick "users must enter a user name and password to use this computer" then click Apply button to see the Automatically Log On dialog box. Enter your password and click ok.

Windows app store Apps(not programs) are uninstalled by right clicking and choosing uninstall.

Yeah it does take quite a while. It compares system files and compares them with originals and looks to see if any are corrupt then replaces them if it can. It even takes a while on an SSD... just let it finish.

Definition for Windows Side by Side(WinSxS):
The Winsxs folder, stores multiple copies of dll‘s in order to let multiple applications run in Windows without any compatibility problem. If you browse inside, you will see what look like a lot of duplicate dlls, each having the same name. These are actually, different versions of the same files which are being stored; as different programs may require different versions.
I usually rin Dism and sfc/scan about a week after Patch Tuesday and have seen no problem with windows updates just to check every thing before making a monthly system image. But this code repairs a lot of problems in Windows 8 and 8.1 especially problems with Windows Update and Windows Store. You might want to copy it to Notepad and save as "updatestorerepair.BAT" then if you have problems in the future with these just double click it and it'll run. I have mine saved to documents.

    so "Dism.exe /online /Cleanup-Image /StartComponentCleanup&sfc/scannow&Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth&sfc/scannow" in note pad and save as "updatestorerepair.BAT"?
