In my 64bit W8.1 I have a power button on the start screen. In my 32bit W8.1 that power button is missing. Is that something I have to set up (I really don't remember).

Good info David, thanks.

The article is a bit confusing though. I my case the situation is the opposite. The power button does appear on my desktop but not on my tablet. But I will play with the registry.

I have the power button but never use it as I do not use Metro.

I have 1 restart option on my right click desktop context menu & 1 on my Taskbar & 1 in my Classic Shell menu.

Thanks Shawn. That's how I must have gotten the one on my desktop. But I forgot - I can't even remember what I had for lunch today, LOL.

Update: Shawn, it worked great. Now she is happy. It is her tablet - but I have to do all the maintenance, LOL

I am certainly not like the Maytag guy who never got an order to fix anything. She has 5 laptops and that Tablet and I am the maintenance guy.
