Win 8.1 PC - Why Not Leave It In Legacy Mode?
I have new Windows 8.1 PC and wanted to enable booting to CD or USB
I found a very interesting article that addresses my situation and a solution
"Disable UEFI and Enable Legacy Boot" Excerpt
"Unlike past PCS, which would let you access the BIOS at startup, you'll need to first enable Advanced Startup Mode."
Disable UEFI and Enable Legacy Boot - How to Uninstall Windows 8, Install Windows 7 on Your PC | PCMag.com
I have been unable to find any article or discussion on the "down side" (if any) to leaving the PC in Legacy Mode I hope someone in the forum can be of assistance.
Thanks
Dave
