Need workaround to download Windows 8 64bit

So Microsoft is soooo stupid. Anyways, I just bought Windows 8 from their website so that I can upgrade my current system from Windows 7 32 bit to Windows 8 64 bit. Turns out, if you are currently running 32 bit, you can't download the 64 bit version of Windows.

So basically I need a workaround. Anybody have any ideas on how to accomplish this?

I need this ASAP - don't have time to wait for a disk to ship. Was hoping to accomplish upgrading my computer today.

Like can anybody download it for me and upload it somewhere? I have my own key and stuff...

Heck, even the Windows 8 64bit download manager would help - if such a thing exists. Like send me the download manager and I'll download it myself.

I don't care if your version has a virus. If it does, I'll just put it on my computer then download my own 64 bit OS and then clean install. It's just so dumb I can't download it when I bought it.

Do you think I can download another OS and then download 64 bit Windows?

That's how I originally downloaded Windows 8 but it doesn't give me the option to choose 64 bit. It automatically chooses 32 bit.

    64-bit Windows 10

Hello but, and welcome to Eight Forums.

You can use OPTION ONE in the tutorial below to select to download a 32-bit or 64-bit Windows 8.1 ISO file. You can activate with your Windows 8/8.1 product key.

I always thought if your PC CPU is 32bit architecture you cannot run 64bit windows.

Here's my thinking... some people have Windows 8 OEM PCs and don't like the bloatware that comes on them. However, the only version of the Windows 8 installer which is readily available to consumers is the Upgrade, which as I understand it doesn't work with OEM versions of Windows 8. There is...
Hi, I just wanted to say that my biggest annoyance with Windows 8 is that there is no X out button to close applications that I open, they continue to run in the background and appear in the left side of screen menu. As a very long time PC user, I've always closed my applications when I'm...
