Solved start not apps!

Hello,
when I click the window icon on my taskbar, my pc goes straight to apps, not to start.
how do I get my pc to go to start straight away - it used to, then decided to go straight to apps.

A left-click on that bottom-left Windows Logo will take you to the Apps

A right-click on it gives you a lot more options ... perhaps that is what you are looking for?

You may need to uncheck the item circled in this shot by right clicking on the Task Bar and choosing Properties/Navigation tab, then Apply and OK:

Just to clear something with you. Start is the Metro Apps Screen. What you are wanting to do is go to the Desktop mode I am guessing.

No,it goes to his all apps now 'he wants the main start window'. edwins suggestion is the fix for it

Stop the pain and install Classic Shell or Start8. Then you have the best of both worlds, Start screen from Win 8 and the normal Start Menu from Win XP/Vista/7 (mostly).

not good with names ,but i know i can set my windows icon in the lower left corner to either boot to Stat Screen with big icons or boot to all apps ,all small icons. so i guess its call it what you want ,but it has nothing to do with my desktop
also iam not arguing with you ,i just find names confusing
