I can't acces BIOS on my Asus laptop. I have Windows 8.1. My BIOS has not UEFI settings. Could someone help me how to open BIOS without UEFI settings.
My Computer

- Windows 8.1
That's because of fastboot see my 2nd post.I know I should press F1 but Windows do not allow press F1 to boot. Immediately is turn on. I have ASUS X54H. Previously I had Windows 7 and I did not have problems with BIOS. Now on Windows 8 I have this problem.
Reading though this thread again, I just want to point something out that may have confused things. The BIOS has a Fast Boot option that speeds up the POST, Power On Self test. Having this feature enabled may make it harder to access the BIOS on boot up but should not prevent it. Windows 8 has a Fast Startup option which is a totally different thing and this option can make it difficult to access the BIOS on boot. It's a hybrid sleep mode. When enabled the PC doesn't shut down to a cold start state. On my ASUS laptop I could not access the BIOS on boot up with it enabled. http://www.eightforums.com/tutorials/6320-fast-startup-turn-off-windows-8-a.html, once I turned it off I had access. Assuming you can boot to windows. If you can't removing all power and draining any residual by pressing the power button will usually force a cold start and kill any sleep or hibernate mode the PC was in. What happens if you press ESC or the Delete key? How were you planning on reinstalling Windows 7? Did you make recovery disks before installing 8.1?
My back is starting to bother me so I'll have to take a break from things for a while. I may not answer any replies until tomorrow. If anybody else wants to pick up the ball and run with it feel free. Don't wait on me.
