    Can't open App Bar (Winkey+Z)

I can't open up my app bar, I know the shortcut is Winkey+Z but it doesn't do anything for me. Any ideas anyone please?

    Thanks

    Hello EFUser,

Did you mean charms bar or Win+X power user tasks menu instead?

Charms Bar - Open in Windows 8

Power User Tasks Menu - Open in Windows 8

Ah, ok. That was removed in Windows 8.1. Instead, you would right click or press and hold on app now.

Ah that would explain it! lol When you say you right click on app (I don't have a touchscreen), what exactly do you mean by 'app'?

I think you can still bring up the 'Bar' when you're at the Start Screen or Apps Screen by pressing the 'Space' bar.
(So, for the Start Screen it would be + Space Bar but not simultaneously)

That allows me to edit the tiles but it's not what I'm after. The reason I wanted to access the now obsolete apps bar is because I heard that it provides a list of all apps belonging to an account. I have installed various apps for my son on my own login but have now given him his own login. Under his login you can't view any of the apps I installed on my windows account even though I have logged in with my account to the windows app store under his login. I know by logging in with the same account I will be able to install all the apps I've paid for for free under his login too, but I've installed loads and I just want to be able to view a list of them whilst logged into his account to make it easy to know what to reinstall for his login. I think it's crazy that windows 8 forces you to install apps for each login account, so for example if you had a family of 5 people each with their own login, each app that they all want to use would need to be installed 5 times over on the same machine - how utterly ridiculous!!! Microsoft really ought to have provided some way of sharing apps between accounts on the same machine.

Yep, I'm afraid that modern apps are only owned by the Microsoft account that installed or purchased them, and each account will need to install their own apps.

Now, you can sync your apps on all devices and PCs that you sign in to with the same Microsoft account though.

AFAIK the Metro Start will stick to the last display that something metro was used. The problem is, I particularly hate it because I expect something to happen where my mouse is focused, even the WiFi panel appear on the screen that doesn't even have a taskbar. Question is, can I change this?
