But when I change the SATA Mode to AHCI now, it gives me BSOD. So I suppose I still have to install that driver, but how am I supposed to do that? I have a .sys file, no idea how to install it?
Did you change to AHCI in BIOS ?

It may not be msahci or storahci on AMD. Storahci, the last i knew, was the sys file that did intel sata controllers, which used to be named iastor.sys. On my AMD board the name of the file was "amdsata" try finding that name.

I'm sure that's the one to change on AMD boards.

Yes I did, but since I haven't actually changed anything (the value of Start was already 0), I still got the BSOD.

I found amdsata, but that one also has the value 0 already on "Start"

If it's needed, I can also just re-install W8, but then in AHCI Mode? I have no idea how to do that though (it automatically installs in IDE Mode?)
Also, regarding installing the RAID Driver, I thought I had to do something with the .sys file, but apparently I had to right-click the .inf file (in the same folder) and then click "Install". It did say something like Installation Completed/Successful or something like that, but I didn't see any changes; msahci was still missing.

If you want to reinstall windows in AHCI mode, just change to AHCI in the BIOS and than install windows, it will install proper drivers itself and stay in that mode.

Okay I installed Windows 8 in AHCI mode now. During setup (choosing Windows Color, and other settings), the pc froze twice (it froze once, then I restarted and then it froze again in that same setup). Now the installation is done, and it has randomly restarted once. I entered the BIOS and it shows that the SATA Mode is in AHCI Mode, which means it worked, but I still seem to have the same problems (sometimes no signal on startup, freezes and random restarts).

EDIT: It just froze again, while using Windows.

Have you tried pulling out your R9 270 card, and installing your older one? I also just had a thought that maybe you have a bad graphics card.

The other card should work even if its a different generation card.

If that don't work, then I think it still points to a faulty motherboard. That shouldn't be doing that at all. And do a memory diagnostic.

So, it's back to hardware checking. Did you unplug and plug back in all the power cables ?
Run with only one RAM module at a time.
MemTest86 - Download now! will test your RAM for any problems.

I've switched graphic cards (to the older one) and it works (Windows runs). But now I'm having very frequent restarts. I've managed to install the driver with Windows Update ("nVidia - Graphics Adapter WDDM1.1, Graphics Adapter WDDM1.2, Graphics Adapter WDDM1.3 - NVIDIA GeForce GT 630") but now it still freezes, so I suppose it's not the graphics card?

I ran Prime95 a couple of months ago (in November, I've been having these problems for a long time), which tests CPU and RAM. I ran it for 8 to 9 hours, with no errors. But I can run MemTest if needed, how long do you want me to run it?
I plugged and unplugged all the power cables, but the problems are still there.

Couple -3 turns should do it, it's not a benchmark.
