Does anyone else have any idea why this is happening? If you're reading this and you have the Windows 8.1, can you try making a copy of a small folder somewhere and seeing if this happens to you too?
    Thanks

Whenever I copy a folder the modified date is set to the time the copy was done. I firmly believe this is by design. There are different rules depending on whether the folder was moved or it was to the same or a different volume.

Okay, I understand what you mean by that, yet why was I able to copy a folder and have that new copy keep the date modified the same as the original, whenever I copied it to any location, same drive and different drive?

I've read up on some programs that say can keep those attributes, like Xcopy or RoboCopy, yet people state that when you upgrade your Windows, then you no longer need these programs, since the newer Windows keeps all original attributes.
