After automatic update yesterday, delays before I can type

After Windows 8 forced an update on me yesterday and shut down my computer, there is now constant 2-3 second delays when I go to a new window before I can type anything in the text field. I can alt tab to something, try to type for the first 2 or 3 seconds, nothing happens. I have to wait before it works, and it's a constant problem. It happens constantly, and it's not just text fields. Anything I do on the keyboard doesn't work periodically once I tab to a new screen or something. I can't alt tab back to what I was doing for that timeframe either.

This is unbelievably annoying and if I can't fix it I'll have to uninstall windows 8 or something, it's that annoying.

Thank you for any help

Do a System Restore that was created just before the update. After that, go back to Windows Update and Hide the update that caused the problem.

For some reason windows restore doesn't work. It says "System restore did not complete successfully, your computer's ysstem files settings were not changed". It says it failed to restore a file, possibly because of my anti-virus but I turned off my anti-virus and it still won't work.

Even so, I never went to windows update in the first place, windows 8 forced this update on me and restarted my computer automatically after I kept postponing it and there was nothing I could do.

This is a much bigger problem than I thought also, I can't even play a videogame because this problem persists and there's random 3 second intervals where my keys don't work.

Windows may not have completed its forced update, go to windows update and find another update if there is one available, let it process that then reboot, see if that helps.

If not please download SPYBOT SEARCH and DESTROY and check for malware....

Windows usually will not complete important updates if there are viruses in your system..
