I recently installed 8 and eventually 8.1. Every 5-10 mins no matter what i'm doing, explorer freezes. THe only thing i can click on is the taskbar. The bar eventually crashes after a few clicks and then explorer restarts, but with a few of my icons near the clock missing. I then have to log out or reboot to restore everything. This recently started. I thought it was a bad install, so i wiped my drive and re-installed, but still the sane its made win 8 quite useless, this thing is driving me crazy. I'm close to going back to win 7. First version of windows I purchased ever. This is probably payback for pirating windows for the last 20 years
