Desktop shortcut to kill Classic Shell

I would like to create a desktop shortcut to kill Classic Shell for when I switch my Yoga to tablet mode and actually want to use the Metro screen and Charms and whatnot.

I'm guessing that the answer involves creating a script or a bat file or a command argument or suchlike. If so, can you do me a solid and spell out all the excruciating details, no matter how painfully obvious they seem? I don't really know much about such things and have no knack for figuring them out.

All help is greatly appreciated.

Just use either Classic Shell or Start8.

I don't think you understand my question; I want a quick way to kill Classic Shell for when my Yoga is in laptop mode and I want the Metro features.

I understand your question. If you still want access to metro apps. Use Stardock Software's Metro Mix. You can also do the same if you set the Yoga up in 8.1, to boot into Desktop mode, which will give you access to both the desktop taskbar and Metro taskbar.

Create a shortcut to ClassicStartMenu.exe with parameter "-exit". It will do the same as right-click on the start button and Exit.
