    Windows 8 & Windows 7 Dual Boot

Once it comes back clean, remove all your system restore points, then create a new one with your clean system.

If not it can be called up from your restore files again.

Just for clarification, except by disabling System Restore altogether (not wise), I don't think you can remove all your Restore Points. Windows' own Disk Cleanup and CCleaner, for example, only allow you to delete all but the most recent point. As CCleaner notes on its restore point removal page, "(The latest one is disabled for system safety)".

Unless you can verify that your antivirus also cleaned your system restore,
Deleting system restore files isnt that big of a deal, make a new one from that point on and turn it back on.

Malware will come back from the dead as long as they are still saved in your restore files..

Whenever you do a system restore because of a new issue, it will bring back those baaaad files...
