I haven't liked windows 8 from the start and it hasn't gotten any better for me,
I would love to have XP back. My question is saving pictures, I right click my mouse on a picture that I want to save, Then I click Save Image As My Pictures,
Then when I go to my pictures it isn't there. Just where are they going, It always worked in windows XP.

There are at least 3 Pictures folders.
Scroll through the list to locate them all.

If you have onedrive installed, then that is the default for saving files. I would suspect that is where your pics are that you saved.

No offend to you but whether you use Windows XP, 7 or 8. All versions are the same. When you right click on an Image, a music file or a document etc... then click on "save as". A popup dialog appears with the navigation pane on the left, you need to tell Windows where you want to save it. If you want to save the image in the Pictures folder then you must first click on the Pictures Folder on the navigation pane.

It is not neccessary that when you save an image, it will go to your Pictures folder since Windows remembers the last Folder where you save something in it.

So the correct procedure when saving something is:
  1. Right click on the object (Image, Music, Document etc..) then click on Save As
  2. Decide where you want to save it by selecting the folder on the Navigation Pane.
  3. Type in the name or take the default name
  4. Click Save.
