What happens when you hit F10 ?

Nothing ?

Sometimes when you install another operating system, it breaks the connection with the recovery partition, I`m not sure. I don`t use recovery partitions, only disk images.

Did you try to include the recovery partition when you made the backup image ?

As long as you didn`t format the recovery partition it`s probably still good.

Maybe someone who knows more will help out :)
