File Explorer - Some ribbon buttons do not work?

    Hey Guys

First post on here be easy on me haha

I just recently started having a problem with some of the buttons on the File Explorer ribbon, basically when I click the New Folder button nothing happens. Same thing happens when I right click on the Windows Key to access the context menu.

Has anyone had this problem before?

Any help would be much appreciated

*UPDATE* on the context menu some functions work like run and shutdown but not control panel and others

    I would search on *.msc

Those are the files for computer management, services etc..

On the new folder thing I would suspect registry corruption. The first thing to try would be running
    sfc /SCANNOW
    from an elevated command prompt
3 times. See if it fixes anything. Also a scan with MBAM wouldn't hurt.

Edit: I see it's your first post. Welcome to the forums.

It may be a good idea once you have a usable system to start imaging every so often. I use Macrium Reflect Free since it supports GPT and secure boot. But there are other free ones to choose from.

That's Windows for you. Sometimes if you don't worry about it, the bug goes away.
