So far, so good. The problem is gone, I think. But my laptop's response is a little bit delayed. Is there something to do with what we've done?

And yes, I'm gonna update it. Gonna visit System Info - See Your System Specs - Windows 7 Help Forums first.

EDIT: Done updating my system specs. What's next?

At least the original problem is gone and what we have done so far is trying to isolate the problem and yes, it might cause some delay since we disable all non Microsoft services. Now run msconfig again and go back to the services tab, enable one at a time and reboot until you encounter the same problem again to find out what service causing this. There is no short cut way so you have to do it this way.

BTW, thanks for updating your system specs, at least we know what you have in your PC. However, please update it again with what type of HD, Browser, Anti Virus etc... Look at David's or my system specs by clicking on "My System Specs" on the bottom left corner of the post as an example.

Will sure do. Thanks! I'll update you soon. Btw, I'm done updating my system specs. Sorry, but it's all I know about my machine. =(

EDIT: What am I going to do is enable the 'stopped' services and restart afterwards, right?

From your screen shot above, put a check on "Hide all Microsoft Services" so you only see the Non MS services. Next, put a check mark on the first one on the list then reboot. If everything is OK, go back and put a check mark on next one then reboot again until you encounter the same original problem then you'll know that's the offending service.

BTW, temporarily disable AVAST to see if you get better response. Personally, I don't use any anti virus software except "Windows Defender" that came installed with Windows 8.

Sorry, but it's all I know about my machine.
From the command prompt, type: msinfo32
It should list all the info's about your Laptop

In short, for instance, there are 50 services, I'm gonna restart my laptop 50 times, am I correct?

Yes, BUT 50, how can you have that many services ? I look at mine, I only have about 18. However, you can do it in group of 3 or 4. Try to check on the first 4's then reboot, in that way you can narrow down if the problem within that group. Make sense ?

Looking at the screen shot, You have McAfee running and in your spec, you have Avast running. I am not sure that's a good idea. Having more than one Anti Virus running also causing conflict and unpredictable behaviour.
McAfee is one piece of software that I would never install in my PC. Having helped some people in this forum with BSOD, strange behaviour was caused by McAfee.

Did you disable AVAST as suggested above ?
