Computer keeps waking up from sleep after around 30 mins

I cannot understand that when I select the Sleep Mode, I find that after approx 30-60mins its awake again. Has anyone experienced this and has the answer. I am running Windows 8.1 64 bit, Avast AV and Firefox my browser.

Its a question of whats need to be disabled for it to continue the Sleep Mode - but I don't want to keep disabling varoius pieces of software if someone already has the answer.

Try going to Device Manager and click on your Ethernet adapter and choose power options and uncheck Wake Up on lan/Internet action. This worked for me.

To add, I turn off power settings for USB devices, Ethernet, Wifi, also check task manager for any events, along with change settings in Power.

After it wakes, in an Administrative Command prompt run the following command. Copy and paste the results if you want.

    powercfg -lastwake

Looks like something on the USB port. Do you turn off your mouse while the system is asleep? Do you have any other devices connected beside the mouse and keyboard? It does appear to be one of your USB 3.0 ports.

This assumes, of course, the system was already awake with you ran the command.

I usually select Sleep Mode by selecting Sleep on my Keyboard. No other devices are connected except for mouse and keyboard. I do have a Printer connected but it is rarely turned on.

On Device Manager under "Universal Serial Bus Controllers" - I have found -

USB 3.0 eXtensible Host Controller - 0100 (Microsoft)

but it does not allow me the option of "turning off" whilst in Sleep Mode.

If you like, I can wait until it unexpectantely awakes from "Sleep" next time and see if its the same device.
