My laptop is ASUS X450LD which came with Windows 8.1. I was installing Arch Linux and during the process because I didn't know what the EFI system partition was, I reformatted it and created a new one. I didn't touch the other partitions and so I still have the Recovery and the Restore partition.
If memory serves, I can use a recovery disk to bring back windows' boot. So how can I make a recovery disk from linux? Can I use another laptop's (and another brand's) recovery disk? Can I copy the recovery partition and make a recovery disk in another Windows machine?
Is there another way to create/recover a windows boot?
