simple answer ,no!

Simple question; nice positive answer - Thank you!

I only asked this question, as I frequently backup operating system, with Acronis True Image, which recommends backing up both the System Reserved and the Operating system partitions - I do this, but only restore the operating system, partition!

Just crossed my mind, that I should also restore the System Reserved partition! But two activities double the risk of something going wrong!

not 100% on this but ,its likely acronis suggest backing of the 2 partitions in case of total HD failure

Myself I create disk Images and restore them as needed in addition I keep daily Data back ups. I don't bother with partition images. Then again I only have the OS and system partitions on my OS SSD's I also use Acronis, and on my UEFI units I use Macrium Reflect
