I really need help with the "Connect a Smart Card" pop up

Hello. I'm new to this site and I'm not really good with technology and I just need help with the pop up.
I have a Windows 8 ASUS (that's the company thing, not talking in all caps) and when I first got my laptop (2 years ago on Christmas, about to be 3 years since it's coming up soonish) I downloaded Chrome. It let me download it, then I wanted to download some gaming emulator (Project64) and a pop up came up.
I'll send a link later if it's needed.
The main problem is this:
+ it says Connect a Smart Card
+ Type Admin. Password then Press Yes
+ It doesn't give the option to even type a password or anything
+ my mom and I pressed details and that didn't help.
+ I went to some random site and it said,"Enable the Smart Card". It was already enabled. I disabled it, then enabled it again to see if it would do something. Nothing worked.
My step dad who is really good at computer stuff asked,"How much storage is on your hard drive?" I don't even know :(
I recently deleted /everything/ on my laptop. Except for Chrome.
Maybe I need to take off Chrome?
I'm not sure. Can someone please help me?

That's understood, although it may sometimes show as Asus.

Apparently the game needs a Smart Card?
HowStuffWorks "What is a smart card?"
Looks like that download was to allow playing Nintendo on your computer.

Did you also uninstall the gaming emulator (Project64) as part of your diagnosing? Google Chrome shouldn't have been the issue.

No my problem isn't Project64. It's the fact that since I have downloaded Chrome, it hasn't let me download anything else. I used Project 64 as an example. I tried downloading other things to see if it was just Project64. It won't let me download anything at all.

Chrome is not going to stop you from downloading stuff. I am going with your computer may be infected also.

I've scanned it before I think.
But I know I have malware already. My sister's has malware. Mine has malware. :(
sadly, we all have malware. I just downloaded Chrome and it stopped letting me download anything else. When I went on the P64 site that my gamer friend went on, I don't think there was a problem because he also has a Windows 8 laptop (but it's a different brand) and his laptop has other emulators and games from those emulators.
I really don't know the problem :(

It's also a notebook, not laptop. I apologize if I said that previously.
And if it's something I have to install, run, or anything, it won't let me. I'll check out the site though.

A Notebook is a Laptop, the terms have been blended over the last several years. Now a Netbook is different, smaller, lighter and no Optical drive and usually 12" and smaller [I have one]. Then come the Tablets and Smart Phones. Some of the thinner Notebooks don't include the Optical drive but they usually are 13" and larger, it's all about saving weight.

My ASUS notebook is about 14 inches wide and 9 and a half inches "tall". It's a heavyish notebook. I think I'll uninstall Chrome and try to download Dolphin or Project 64 or something.
