Can't see .mov files in Windows Media Player 12

Hi, I am having problems seeing the videos on Windows Media Player 12. When I play the .mov files, it doesn't come up (I just comes up with a Music note icon) - but I can hear the Audio.

When I play the .mov files on a laptop - it just works. Both OS Systems are both Windows 8.1

Other formats like .mts and etc.. works fine!

Any solutions?

Usually one needs Apple's QuickTime to play .mov videos. Or maybe the Desktop needs a codec/add-in to play them?

VLC will play .mov files with no problems.

If I'm not mistaken, MPC-HC will also play these files without the need for any additional software and is a bit smaller than VLC on account of being Windows specific.
