As it happens, another geek at our sister site the Seven Forums had exactly the same issue yesterday, caused by a dog . When the display is rotated 90 or even 180 degrees, it can be a bit tricky to use the mouse to fix this using Screen resolution tool. See this post at Seven Forums for keyboard shortcut solution: Homepage is verticle Solved - Windows 7 Help Forums

It's even more fun when you get viruses that cause this and disable the shortcut/resolution change just to irritate people, there is even one I saw once where it makes your screen flicker. Can be a nightmare!

Glad to see you fixed it.

David had already given the correct answer, to use Screen Resolution tool to set the display in Landscape. I simply added a keyboard shortcut for that, knowing that some users find it difficult to move and use mouse when the display is sideways or upside down.
