Jumbled images and text in the metro UI, new install

    Hello!

I just did a clean install of Windows 8 on a new SSD.

For some reason the images and text in the start and the wifi menu areare jumbled. See the attached screenshots.

I tried searching for it but couldn't find anything.

Hover over the icons resets them and fixes them most of the time.

If its relevant, I have an amd apu 6520G with a discrete graphics 6650M card on a laptop.

Since this is a new install. Did you install the Video driver ?

yes, I installed the latest available from the lenovo's website which has always worked in the past.

The only thing different this time from other times is that I installed an SSD, could that be an issue?

Your SSD has nothing to do with this. It is a messed up Video Driver install.

First off, I'm seeing this with Firefox v24 and have not tested this with IE or Chrome. I also have not seen this anywhere but browsing the net as text seems to be fine locally. Anyone else seeing this? All I need to do to fix the text is to scroll the page a bit.

First of all, I believe it ain't a hardware issue. Said that, let's proceed. Hi! I've been overclocking my GTX550 Ti for a while, and it never went like this. I always clocked my card to 1GHz proc and 2GHz memories (exactly 1000MHz and 2000MHz), but today I decided to go further and clock the...
Hi there Big drawback with the Metro version of IE is that it doesn't seem possible to change the text size -- on a large monitor using the "Normal" version -- the desktop version of IE I can change the text size at will and zoom the image which I usually have at 150%. The text size on the...
