Ive been working on a live cd project, based off of windows PE, for repairing windows 8 machines. I have a full gui with a windows 7 explorer shell and it is UEFI compatable /bootable. Ive loaded it with a bunch of tools for computer repairs, imaging HDDs, etc. This got me thinking what else i may be able to do. My question is would it be possible to install regkeys to the "targeted OS" via the live cd?
For example: Some virus and malware programs corrupt regkeys by disabling task manager, permission settings, changing proxy settings, home pages, etc. If i had a corrupted computer and booted off my live cd, would it be possible to write a batch file (or similar) to call a list of regkeys and install them to the hive of the corrupted computer's OS (and not the live cds OS)?
