Can't remove read-only property from folders

    Can't remove read-only property from folders


    Already took ownership of the entire directory tree, read-only property still comes back and i can't change anything inside

I cannot figure out what happened, but all the folders on my computer have become ready only! I tried to uncheck the box, but they went back to being read only. I don't know what's going on. Any help would save my hiney. :huh:
I have Windows 8.1 and I run an application that needs his folder not to be read only in order to save some progress of my work. How can I remove the read only from the folder of my application? I have tried CMD, read only remover tool, chande ownership, permisions, safe mode. Just about anything...
Let me explain with a couple of screenshots. I just upgraded from Windows 8 to 8.1 and now I get a bunch of useless shortcuts in Windows Explorer when I try to open a file, or if I just plainly go to My Computer. Stuff like this: 41410 Or this: 41411
I want to remove folders from My computers in windows 8.1 then how to remove this . please see the attachment
I'd like to remove the folders from under This PC in the navigation pane. Is there a hack for that yet?
I actually haven't purchased a Windows 8 machine, yet, but I have a question. In my current Vista system, when I am working with my mp3 files, I often create play lists that exceed 100 songs. In Vista, 99 is the highest track number you can have - so all mixes if you want them played in track...
win 8 won't let me no matter what I try to do to remove folders from the win8 install. Old install folder. I can't remove the regedit file from it. I think I have to boot Linux and mount a drive to do what I need. What can I do to fix this besides linux. Format and go back to windows 7?
