    win8.1.1 enterprise

    not sure but I have read a bit ,and some sites [Do I need Intel® Rapid Storage Technology Software? - Hard Drives - Storage]say its not needed so you could try uninstall it for now maybe and see what happens, and later on maybe you could reinstall and see if it still shows disabled

    Thanks everyone for extending help in one or other way, the problem is resolved, I relied on built-in HP Support Assistant which showed all drivers are up-to-date, however, that wasn't the case - after updating from Intel website it is working without any issue(s)
