Windows 8.1 Black Screen , it is fixed from MS or not ???

    Greetings to all

I have a question about a problem or an error (bug) in Windows 8.1 that causes black screen with the mouse cursor. It is a problem to Microsoft and its Windows Updates or it is caused by a problem with compatibility of graphics drivers? Something I read on the internet, it is said caused the update KB 2993651 which results cause BLACK SCREEN. It's been bug fixed or not?

I had Windows 8.1 Update 1 on my computer last month but I must to uninstall it because I only got a black screen with the cursor in the lower left corner of the icon from the network after update and reboot computer. I had to do to downgrade to Windows 7, but I'm not by much excited because I like the speed and agility of the new Windows' 8.1 Update 1 in particular as regards the smoothness of games, since the system benefits from hyperthreading and Windows 7 has quite limited. I have the original ISO image file Windows Enterprise 8.1 Update 1 from the MSDN site, but I hesitate whether I go back to Windows 8.1, and hope that I fit black screen, or should I stay on Windows 7 and be happy that I have no problem with black screenale be limited HT or should I wait for Windows 9 These updates on your uploaded picture are the ones that MS has withdrawn from circulation and re-released for download from Windows Update, that should already be fixed, right? So one thing is clear, the problem is in the updates from windows update and compatibility of graphics drivers. If I installed Windows 8.1, and updated but missed the last,, Security Update 2,, and turn off the Windows Update, I should get a black screen?

I have all current updates & my computer runs good.
    {Except for the 2 I hid}

Before updating to 8.1 Pro I updated all my drivers & got all the latest Windows Updates.

I also use Macrium Reflect to image my system, in case an upgrade or update causes problems.

You could try it again & see what happens.

edit--- I suggest getting drivers from the drivers' website & not from Microsoft.

I do not know what to do now. I go into it or not. I am afraid that in turn get black screen, then it was just a waste of time when I uninstall Windows 7 Home Premium (x64) and installed Windows 8.1 Update 1 Enterprise (x64). If you would at least be able to post a small list of problematic updates that would be good to hide. This would help me a lot. All drivers for Windows 8.1 I downloading from the site Station-Drivers - NEWS and there is always talk about the latest drivers whether they are stable or a problematic. Drivers for the video card (I have 2 way SLI) I download from the site where Guru3D.com and there is always talk about the latest drivers whether they are stable or a problematic. Drivers from Windows Update installed only when the internet can not find the original driver. On graphics cards are not installing the drivers from Windows Update, I haven´t good experience with it, because it tends to install the complete package (GeForce Experience, 3D driver, HD audio, etc ...) I prefer a clean installation of graphic drivers and PhysX. I use to do a complete uninstallation of the DDU website www.wagnardmobile.com
I think the black screen may be due to the activation system? Because when I had Windows 8.1, then I tried many guides on the internet but none helped me. I even had a black screen even in safe mode

I do things to my computer, that might mess it up, because I have Macrium & the factory recovery disks.

I have the paid Standard version because it supports a boot menu option.

Macrium Reflect FREE Edition - Information and download

I bought my recovery disks from Gateway, since my computer is a Gateway.
They are a set of 6 DVDs, not iso.

Someone else will have to help you with ISOs.
I know next to nothing about them.

Little did I surfed the web and look for the cause Black Screen or Blank Screen and I found this:

Security Update for Windows 8.1 for x64-based Systems (KB2982791)
will cause this issue on it's own.
    and
Update for Windows 8.1 for x64-based Systems (KB2975719)
will also cause this even if KB2982791 is not installed.
All other updates from windows update are installed currently.

I found it on this webpage - win 8.1 August 12 updates - black screen after 2nd reboot - Microsoft Community

The question is, are problematic even the new updates that should fix this error? I hope that the new updates will already be repaired.
