Worlds most popular OS Redesigned -Dual Boots with Win 8 !

The Worlds most popular OS, Android has been redesigned to scale up from a mobile OS to a full desktop OS, to dual boot with windows 8 - even natively on Surface 1, 2 and 3 tablets, has full support from Intel, and Minnowboard Max (Atom based mini motherboard) and lastly to be a fully functioning GAMING platform with the power and ability to create and run AAA PC quality games (has native support for Unity, Havok and Unreal 4 engines) - and even use them with keyboard and mouse.

The name of this Android redesign is called Console OS and it ships in December 2014 on real world hardware as well as will have a free downloadable version. Console OS is designed to run on desktops, laptops, tablets that are x86 based. Console OS will support Google Play ( though not installed by default) and will run all Google Play apps as well as all ARM based apps. Console OS is UEFI and Secure Boot compatible.

This isn't bluestacks a virtual machine or any kind of emulator. This will dual boot natively with the ability to switch between Windows and Console OS in mere seconds unlike traditional dual booting, using the InstaSwitch feature. You'll also have the ability to transfer files from one OS to the other as well as transfer data to or from all your other Android devices.

Console OS was funded by a Kickstarter campaign. The public has spoken. The public wants a powerful Android system to dual boot with Windows and now they will have it.

In fact, this Android redesign is so powerful for your PC the company hopes people will use Console OS as the primary desktop OS - which now with good gaming abilities could really happen. Microsoft and Google won't like that but I don't care what Microsoft and Google likes. "I" am the consumer, Microsoft and Google has to listen to "Me" or fall by the wayside.

I think Console OS will be Huge by giving users the ability to use both of the worlds largest most popular OS's on the same machine. I am excited about what I can do with these two working together.

What do you think? You can check out more at: Console OS - Native Android Remastered for the PC

And Linux was going to be huge in desktops but it never happened.

Time will tell for this new OS. I will give it a try just to see what's it about.

I wouldn't call Android "The world's most popular OS". That's like calling McDonald's "The world's most popular food". Just because it's the most used doesn't make it the most popular.

Popularity implies that you prefer the OS over all others, and not just use it because it's the cheapest and most readily available.

I use android... I have a ton of android devices... but I only use it because i hate the iPhone, and my carrier doesn't have windows phones that are from this century. I prefer my iPad for a general tablet, but I prefer my Asus VivoTab with Windows 8.1 for work related tablet use. Android just isn't in the picture, except for my phone.

Where did you get that info? I'm a Console OS backer and nothing I've seen or read has said that they plan to support the Surface products. I have my fingers crossed for Surface support but to my knowledge they haven't announced it yet.

I had never heard of it till just now. Looks great. I would have backed it on kickstarter, if I had known it was there.

This looks promising but I'll wait till all the guinea pigs... uh beta testers check it out and post back

Wouldn't be bad to have on a laptop though.

Had it going as Live on USB and in VM, it was just a giant phone without calling possibility. No real use on a PC, specially desktop.

Really? I didn't know they ever released a version to test. Are there updated versions, do you have a link?

Reading the material makes this OS coupled with something like the Minnowboard MAX (or even my present laptop) look really sweet if it can live up to all the claims. We'll see in December. I already use various Android VM's and Android x86 dual booting with Windows and most everything works so I know the system will work - it's just a matter of the niceties such as getting Havok and Unreal 4 games to work with it.. which they have already solved it seems.
