Glad I could give you an easy question there. I figured using properties was my next course of action since I didn't have any restore points, but I'm being overly careful and wanted to double check. I should be able to simply revert ownership back to the system under advanced settings correct? It does look like that is what your second picture is trying to explain. Thanks again!
    You can change owners.

I downloaded a new Hosts file for my computer as another layer of protection.

I typically use MVPS Hosts and hp Hosts in unison. That is what I had loaded initially. Not sure why it locked up on me the way it did and denied access to the net, but apparently it can be done since you are able to utilize it.

I'm running Windows 8.1 on a laptop and suddently cannot save photos (jpg files) to folders in "My Documents". I get the error message: "You don't have permission to save in this location. Contact the Administrator to obtain permission. Do you want to save to Pictures instead".

As you can deduce, I am the administrator and don't understand why this is suddenly happening. Everything was working fine - for at least a year now - and with no changes to any accounts or system. I can't see why this is now blocking me.

I've googled the issue with no clear way to resolve this problem. Any ideas?
