FLAC Files Locked In Window 8.1 - UAC?

Hiya guys, everytime I use a FLAC file, I noticed on the delete, and rename in right click context menu, there is a UAC shield next to the text, initially thought nothing of it, but now I just go to delete the FLAC files, and it's refusing to let me, says I need Administration Permission, thing is...I am the admin!!

Same issue when I select rename, or drag to another folder. Is there anyways to stop Windows from locking these files? It's literally only FLAC files it does it with!

    Hi there

Were these files on external device(s) created / accessed on another computer - possibly by a different user id.

If so you'll get a message -- shouldn't worry about it though.

    Hi there
Ah ! downloaded -- OK have a look at the HDD top level directory -- in Windows explorer choose properties==>security and then set to full access.

    Should work.

In windows explorer, I only see:

    Device Manager
    Remote Settings
    System Protection (Is this it?)
    Advanced Sys Settings

    EDIT-

Found it, I selected full access but it threw out a few errors to the following:

    bootnxt
    recycle bin
    btmgr
    hyberfil
    msocache
    pagfile
    perflogs
    programme files 86

    Is this normal?

The full access checkmarked seems to have stuck like its worked, but these errors are now worrying me: The specific error for each of the above was:

Failed To Enumerate Objects In The Container. Access Denied.

    Hi there

Just RIGHT mouse click on the HDD ==>properties ==>security

Screenshot shown for example (Unless you have Acronis you won't see the Acronis tab but the rest are the same).

Then on security ==>EDIT to alter the permissions.

    Cheers

Hi there For years I've stored my music collections as FLAC - however with massive size HDD's is it worth it any more -- - WAV can easily be stored -- mind you all my players even on the mobile phone handle FLAC so should I just keep using it. Note I'm not interested in compressed formats like...
Hi there a useful bit of free software if you want to re-assemble a single FLAC / APE file containing a CUE file into its original tracks (with track titles etc). Some of you might still have (or come across) music as a single CUE + FLAC or APE file - particularly if you are getting some lesser...

Okay, so up until last night Explorer could display info for MP3 (and other media files aside from FLAC) perfectly fine. Last night I decided to set it up so it could display FLAC too. After tons of guess-and-check I finally got Explorer to be able to display and edit tag info for FLAC files,...
