    After Microsoft login Nothing Happens

After logging in on microsoft acc. Nothing happens all I get is a black screen after pressing control, alt, delete I can lock, switch users, log out and task manager. In the bios screen I cannot find anything about repair or rebooting. My wife uses this computer for FB and light browsing. We have mcafee virus protection from att. Only gaming is done from FB. I am completely in over my head. Bye the way when powering on it beeps one time.

Thank you. Here is what is happening. Turn computer on it beeps one time then the the screen shows that asks if you want to log in to microsoft account. Enter password press enter then screen goes black only the cursor shows. The only thing I can do is hit control alt delete and I get the options to lock, switch users sign out or task manager. At bottom right of screen I have the power button to either sleep shut down or restart. Upon restart hitting del button to enter bios I can't find anything that shows there is a problem with booting or repairs need to be made pc health shows ok. I am using my tablet and I can't get anywhere with the computer to take screen shots. I am completely in over my head. Thanks for any help.

What happens if you click on task manager? It should (hopefully) take you to the desktop...

It does take me there but it does not show that there is a problem. CPU usage is 2% up to 20% memory is 24% disk 0% network 0%

This is one of those things you need to be sat in front of.

Have you tried booting into safe mode... perhaps worth trying,

If you have Task Manager you could open System Restore if you have any restore points made.

edit--- if rstrui.exe doesn't help because of no restore points, try explorer.exe as a new task & see what it does.
